The  Combined Certificate IV and Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management Course is recognised by ASIC and meets the membership requirements for the industry associations – Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) and the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA). The course is nationally accredited and meets ASICS RG 206 education requirements.

This Finance and Mortgage Broker qualification is designed to reflect the role of employees working in finance and mortgage broking, including those who are independent and work through an aggregation group, or who need to manage a workplace team. In addition to undertaking duties as described in the FNS40815 Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, they may also perform duties such as:  

  • Recommend loan combinations which meet clients’ needs
  • Assess prospective borrowers’ eligibility to obtain finance and their capacity to service debt
  • Operate and build their own independent business
  • Broker complex and/commercial leases and equipment finance, commercial finance, project finance and finance for property developers
  • Act as licensees.

Entry Requirement

Assessments

To achieve your Mortgage and Finance Broker qualification, you will complete a combination of loan scenario case studies, written exercises and online multiple-choice questions corresponding with the training material.  There are no exams, and you will have six months to complete module one, and six months to complete module two – twelve months in total to submit your assignments.
